Washington's Community Health Centers

Washington State is home to 28 Federally Qualified Community Health Centers (FQHC), which are non-profit public entities that serve medically underserved populations. These community health centers are all members of the Association.

Characteristics of a Community Health Center

  • Community based non-profit or public primary health care center

  • Located in or serving a designated Medically Underserved Area or within a Medically Underserved Population

  • Majority Consumer Board governance structure

  • Provide comprehensive scope of health services to individuals in all stages of life

  • Provide services to individuals regardless of ability to pay

  • Offer fee discount program based on family income and size

  • Comply with federal operations and clinical standards

Columbia Basin Health Association

Community Health of Central Washington

Community Health of Central Washington is growing to meet the needs of our communities. Today, CHCW is the medical home for more than 30,000 people in central Washington. We provide comprehensive care for all ages, regardless of the ability to pay. Community Health of Snohomish County

Community Health Center of Snohomish County provides affordable medical and dental care. We welcome patients who are on Washington Apple Health, Medicaid, Qualified Health Plans (QHPs), Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Tricare, select private insurances and those who are uninsured. For those without insurance, CHC will help patients sign up for Washington Apple Health; if ineligible we offer a discount fee program. Family Health Centers

Family Health Centers has locations in Bridgeport, Omak, Okanogan, Brewster, Oroville, Tonasket and Twisp. Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers

Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers (LRCHC), is a tribal owned entity that serves the tribal communities of Inchelium and Keller in Ferry County as well as the surrounding areas off the reservation. Comprehensive programs and services are provided at these facilities and include the following: medical, dental, lab, radiology, podiatry, optometry, pharmacy, and physical therapy. The Tribes provide collaborative and complementary health services in the communities such as mental health, substance abuse, social services, community health, WIC, nutrition, maternal support services and community outreach which are co-located with the health services.

Moses Lake Community Health Center

Moses Lake Community Health Center is dedicated to serving migrant and seasonal farm workers, the uninsured, under-insured and others who have difficulty accessing care. The Health Center has served the community in Moses Lake since 1978 and opened operations in Quincy in 2002.

NeighborCare Health

We are the largest provider of primary medical, dental and behavioral health care services in the Seattle area focusing on low-income and uninsured families and individuals, seniors on fixed incomes, immigrants, and the homeless. Each year we care for about 65,000 patients at our 28 non-profit medical, dental and school-based clinics. We ask everyone to pay what they can, but no one is turned away due to inability to pay. Seattle Indian Health Board

The Seattle Indian Health Board (SIHB) is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization incorporated in the State of Washington. We provide community health care and services targeting the urban American Indian and Alaska Native population in the greater Seattle/King County area. Although some services and programs are offered to eligible Native patients only, most primary care services are available to everyone regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion, sexual orientation or inability to pay. Valley View Health Center

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic serves over 141,000 people across 19 medical clinics, 10 dental clinics, and 57 programs in two states. We have expanded medical care to include dental, orthodontia, nutrition counseling, autism screening, and behavioral health services. We also offer community programs that offer assistance with employment and training, after-school education, rental and shelter assistance, energy assistance, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling and testing, home visits, tobacco cessation, and three mobile medical/dental clinics.
