Objectives
OBJECTIVES
The World Alliance was formed to contribute to sustainable improvements in community health. This is achieved primarily through initiatives that address priority needs and issues related to communicable disease in areas where members operate. All projects are undertaken in a manner that meets WHO criteria, the requirements of host countries and the needs of the local communities. The World Alliance is focused on :
* Initiatives that improve the cost effectiveness and quality of community health
* Providing a forum for information sharing, learning and standard setting
* Identification and advancement of best practice in communicable disease programs
* Establishment of relationships with governments and others in the health development arena, for the achievement of better health services for communities
* Supporting research and training in the identification and treatment of communicable disease as long-term tools for better control.
